With the announcement of Free, Kyoto Animation is lining up a special list of high quality productions. You can almost see it in their characters’ eyes, how they sparkle, dazzle and lure you in with KyoAni’s trademark moeblob presentation. It’s thanks to this studio that moe has become a major sensation among diehard otaku.
Cuteness aside, KyoAni infamously took on a number of Key’s visual novels, light novels and four-panel manga, and adapted them quite thoroughly. Animations are fluid and audio always top-notch — some voice talents got their big breakthrough in a KyoAni work. It’s easy to see what made, and still makes, people gravitate towards this studio. Whether you like it or not, a Kyoto Animation series will always get an immense amount of hype and sell well to its fanbase.
This Top 5 is to pick my personal favorites, and you already got a preview of what to expect from the cover image above..

The very top of the Otaku bracket brings the second match of the First Round and provides all-anime action.
As the current Red King and level-nine Burst Linker, the tiny Yuniko Kozuki is proof that looks can be deceiving. Deception is one of the strengths of Joseph Joestar, who also has the ability to either predict his way to victory or figuratively run away from the competition. And it’s nearly impossible to deceive Hotaro Oreki, and if given enough time, he’ll become a mystery to opponents who take him lightly.
Who will be the first anime character to advance to the Sweet 16? Help decide by voting after the break!

While Hyouka is set in the fictional town of Kamiyama City, the locations in the fictional city are based on places in Takayama, which is located in Gifu prefecture. The mentioned city used the parallelisms in locations to create a map that highlights the spots seen in the anime series.
There will be 10,000 copies of the map released.

A New Year, a new trial. I don’t know what to make of the locked-in-the-shed predicament but I’m sure neither of the two want to consider using body heat to keep each other warm.
