New “Taken 2” Poster
A new poster for the upcoming Taken 2 sequel has been released. Focusing solely on the film’s star, Liam Neeson, the poster is a bit bland with its design. Unlike the posters for the original Taken, this poster feels lacking.
Taken 2 sees Neeson, along with Maggie Grace and Famke Janssen reprising their roles from the previous film as relatives of the slain human traffickers from the previous film set out for revenge against Neeson and his family.
The sequel is slated for an October 5th release.

New “Taken 2” International Trailer

A short new international trailer for the upcoming Taken 2 has been released featuring some new footage and an added twist omitted from the previous trailer.

I’ll let you all find out for yourself just what it is, but I will say that the twist will add a new element to the film. The film sees Liam Neeson, Maggie Grace and Famke Janssen reprise their roles from the previous film and gets released later this October.

“Taken 2” (2012) First/International Trailer

Following the release of the film’s first poster, the first trailer for the upcoming sequel has been released.

The families of the slain human traffickers that Liam Neeson disposed of have returned for vengeance, kidnapping his ex-wife (Famke Janssen) during their vacation in Istanbul. Neeson can’t take them on alone this time as he instructs daughter (Maggie Grace) on how to help him rescue her mother.

I’m quite excited for this movie. It does look like its banking on a lot of what made the first film such a huge success, but once again we get to see Liam Neeson for the bad ass that he is.

Taken 2 is set for an October 2012 release.

First Images Of Liam Neeson In “Taken 2”

Back in early 2009 a surprise hit by the name of Taken starring all around bad ass Liam Neeson was released. Jump three years later and we have the first images for the 2012 follow-up to the surprise hit.

Liam Neeson is back for the sequel which sees him and his “set of skills” being tested once again, as both he and his former wife—played by Famke Janssen—are tracked down and kidnapped by associates of the former film’s villains. This time Neeson is going to need help from his daughter—played by Maggie Grace—in rescuing himself and Janssen.

Neeson expands more on the film in his interview with Entertainment Weekly here.

“Wrath of the Titans” (2012) Oblivion Trailer

Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures have released this latest trailer titled “Oblivion.” Highlighting more of the various monsters that Perseus (Sam Worthington) will have to face off against, this trailer does a pretty good job at enticing me to go watch the film.

Once again, the film will be released in 3D, but without the rushed conversion job that plagued its predecessor. The film also sees the return of Liam Neeson as Zeus, Ralph Fiennes as Hades and Rosamund Pike as Andromeda, while both Gemma Arterton and Luke Evans have departed from the franchise.

Feel the Wrath when it hits theatres March 29th, 2012.

Mash-Up Monday Presents: Qui-Gon Jinn vs. Jean-Luc Picard

Now this isn’t an actual battle between two famed characters of the sci-fi juggernaut franchises, but a duel between toy representations of the characters on The Graham Norton Show.

With both Liam Neeson and Sir Patrick Stewart appearing on the BBC America show for an episode, they witness Norton himself comparing which figure of their famous characters was better: A coin operated animatronic of Qui-Gon Jinn complete with music and voice over or a miniature light up figurine of Jean-Luc Picard with transporter sound effects.

Clearly, Star Wars won the better end of this fight.
