“Stolen” (2012) Debut Trailer

Obvious comparisons to Taken aside, Stolen sees a former master thief (Nicolas Cage) team up with an ex-girlfriend (Malin Akerman) and given 12 hours to make up the money that is owed to his former partner (Josh Lucas) who has kidnapped his daughter. 

Unlike Taken, Stolen comes off as a less serious film given the trailer’s voice-over and the re-teaming of Cage and Simon West, who last teamed up together on Con Air.  The film does look like a lot of fun and I was impressed with the action direction of Simon West in The Expendables 2, so this could be a nice surprise. 

Stolen hits theaters September 14th and also stars Danny Huston, Sami Gayle and M.C. Gainey.
