Ken and two other Japanese chefs get thrown back into past and arrive in the Sengoku Era (the Warring States Period; 1467-1573). Almost immediately, Ken’s presumed co-workers are killed by soldiers. The only survivor, Ken, is rescued by a female blacksmith, Natsu.
Upon arriving in the Sengoku Era, Ken lost almost all of his memories; the only thing he retained was his knowledge of cooking. To repay Natsu’s kindness, Ken does the only thing he knows how: cook. After seven months of cooking, Ken attracts the attention of a pivotal figure of the era, Oda Nobunaga.

The Telepathy One is set to be released before Google Glass at the end of this year. Telepathy One is a wearable device that allows users to consume, share, enhance, photographs and videos. In aiming to be released before Google Glass, the Telepathy One hopes to acquire the historical status as being the first augmented reality device to be released for the mass market.
Inventor Takahito Iguchi explains that the Telepathy One will differ from Google glass in its focus on sharing media. Most other aspects of Telepathy One are rather similar to the Google Glass, including the overall design, where a projector is placed above the normal line of sight. Significantly, Telepathy One will be using regular ear buds unlike Google Glass’s much anticipated bone conduction technology for sound. This is done to keep the price down, although the Telepathy One still comes at a hefty price tag of $1500 USD .
First hand experience by users have given excellent reviews for this device. However, some have pointed out that the design might require small modifications to prevent it from moving around the head.
Personally, I am excited with all these augmented reality devices. Dreams of being Haruyuki in Accel World or Kirito from Sword Art Online aside, something as simple as an app to capture everything I see into manga is an otaku dream come true.

Summer 2013 Anime Chart
It’s that time of the Spring anime season again. With series approaching their halfway marks, here’s a preview of what is to come for the Summer season.
The Summer season is a feast of second seasons, remakes, and spin-offs such as Monogatari series, Rozen Maiden, and Fate/kaleid liner. There are a couple of new adaptations in the mix like Blood Lad, Silver Spoon, and Danganronpa if you’re looking for something fresh.
In my opinion, the greatest thing that the summer season has to offer are the movies. These include Ghost In The Shell Arise, AnoHana movie, Hal, and Miyazaki’s Kaze Tachinu.

This year’s theme, fans were asked to design Miku as a ‘Mahou Shoujo’ (magical girl) along with a wand and a cute little pet. Hideo Kojima mentioned this first on his podcast, which you can find here, while Platinum Games producer Jean Pierre Kellams has confirmed it even more concisely in a tweet.
Get ready to be a cyborg with a sword.

Probably the most interesting news piece to come out of this morning’s Nintendo Direct is that Nintendo will be partnering with Best Buy to provide gamers with the opportunity to try out some of their unreleased Wii U games at over 100 locations in the United States and Canada.
It isn’t yet clear what stores will be supporting the promotion, but it’s an interesting tactic to allow gamers that never get to attend E3 to try out new games well in advance of their release dates.
