Hello everyone, and welcome to the beginning of a new season. Who else is excited to start with a whole new lineup of anime?

Aside from Chihayafuru 2, we are ready to feature a number of Spring shows here. As previewed earlier, it is the season of mecha, supernatural and mystery titles. In addition, there are a number of key sequels that will likely garner your attention. While we have our own preferences, we also want to reach out to everyone. You know the deal now — choose up to three new anime you want us to cover all season without fail.

Please do note that anime series targeted at younger audiences and those not running a full twenty-some minutes have been filtered out. If you feel like any titles are missing from this list, leave a comment and we will count that as a vote. The poll is right after the cut!

It’s time to say goodbye to 2012 and welcome ourselves in 2013! Hope you all are enjoying your early winter delights and staying away from the sick bug. If you need a cure, you know you can always turn to anime for a quick fix. But watching anime means opinions and discussions, and we’re going to ask for your help.

Kicking off the coming winter season includes a couple of noteworthy sequels, and a lot of cute girls doing cute things. The list may not be overwhelming by any means, but it may entertain you for the majority single-cour titles. Most of your recognizable production studios are back at it, competing for our fandom. Not to get too far ahead, but let’s hope the new lineup doesn’t disappoint.

You know the deal by now: select up to three anime that you want reviewed by our anime staff and let us take care of the rest. Be sure to be heard because your thoughts really do matter: the top 3 vote-getters are guaranteed to be covered by us this season!

Poll: Fall Anime 2012

[via]

At long last, the Fall season nears! This new season should harvest more of your anime interests as thirty-two titles are expected to air, and many of them look quite promising. A number of familiar production studios are back at it to entice you back indoors and away from the breezy weather that is to come. Even though summer has come and gone, it is time for a fresh start, but in order to do so, we’re going to need a little help as usual.

This season, we’re going to have four full-time reviewers ready to contribute and we are asking you, the readers, to pick your 3 most anticipated series of the third quarter. The top three vote-getters will get indefinite coverage, so now is the time to voice your preferences and be heard. The new season begins soon, so quick, vote for your top three!

Poll: Summer Anime 2012

[via]

Summer love is definitely in the air. Out of the twenty-six new anime that will air this summer, eight of them will be romance based. Some may be a bit risque; others more dramatic; or if you’re into feudal Japan, there is one for you.

Of course, summer romance isn’t the only feature of this season’s lineup. There is a good blend of comedy, fantasy and sci-fi, and you can anticipate a few worthy second seasons that may up your anime alley.

At first glance, the list might not overwhelm you but after looking into some of them, including a number of historical series, they have potential to be dark horses. I’m probably expecting more surprises than absolute sure things but this isn’t about my thoughts on the season.

Readers, tell us what interests you and pick up to three shows that you would like to see reviewed on Population GO. The poll is right after the break!
