Warner Bros Pictures has released two new banners for their upcoming reboot of the DC Comics character, Superman.

The two banners feature the film’s primary antagonist and protagonist in Michael Shannon’s General Zod and Henry Cavill’s Superman. Both are depicted flying at supersonic speeds for their climactic showdown.

Man of Steel also stars Amy Adams, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Christopher Meloni and Russell Crowe with a release date set for June 14th.

Three New Posters For “Man of Steel”

Over the course of the weekend, Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures released three new posters for the upcoming Superman reboot, Man of Steel.

With about a month to go until the film opens up, the marketing campaign for the movie has been pumping out new material over the last few weeks. Each of the posters carry the same of motif of the Man of Steel soaring high into the sky, but each from differing perspectives.

Man of Steel stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Christopher Meloni and Russell Crowe, with a release date set for June 14th.

Latest Poster For “Man of Steel”
It’s a busy week of advertising for Warner Bros., as they have also released the latest poster for Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel.
The poster highlights the film’s central character, Superman, while in flight and is meant to emphasize the speed at which he is flying. Not one of the film’s better posters, in my opinion, but it should still excite fans for its upcoming June 14th release.

Fan-Made Posters & Empire Magazine Covers For “Man of Steel”

With the summer season upon us, marketing for Warner Bros. upcoming Superman reboot has pumped out two new collectible covers for Empire Magazine, as well as  two fan-made posters.

The two fan-made posters (top two pictured above) put the Man of Steel front and center, and despite being fan-made, are pretty damn good as well. On the other side, the two Empire Magazine covers highlight the film’s protagonist and antagonist in Henry Cavill’s Superman and Michael Shannon’s General Zod. Both covers will be available for the magazine’s June release.

Man of Steel hits theaters June 14th and also stars Russell Crowe, Amy Adams, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Christopher Meloni and Laurence Fishburne.

Third Official Trailer For “Man of Steel”

Warner Bros. has officially released the third trailer for Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel.

In contrast to the second trailer, which slowly built up the introduction of Superman, the new 3-minute trailer gives a more extended glimpse at what Clark Kent will battle internally and externally, especially showing him in action both with and without the red cape.

It also gives a better look at Michael Shannon’s General Zod and Amy Adam’s Lois Lane.

Man of Steel is set to release nationwide on June 14 of this year.

Film Review: Broken City

image

“There are some wars that you fight, and some that you walk away from. This is the fighting kind.”

On paper, the new crime “thriller” Broken City seems like a can’t-miss proposition: a pedigreed cast, a director who knows his way around a genre picture, and a release date in the doldrums of winter when films like this can thrive. The unfortunate reality of Broken City is that it’s a half-baked idea with a script that feels like it was thrown together in a couple of hours.

So what went wrong? Read on to find out…

Film Review: Les Miserables

“Now life has killed the dream I dreamed.”

Tom Hooper was no stranger to the world of directing when his last film The King’s Speech exploded onto screens at the tail end of 2010, reaping the lion’s share of awards including an Oscar for Best Director. Like so many directors that go from relative obscurity to unanimous acclaim, his next film was going to be bigger and showier in an attempt to show that his excellent work on The King’s Speech was no fluke.

For his follow-up, he chose the biggest and showiest project imaginable: the epic of all epic musicals, Les Miserables.

Did the gamble pay off? Read on to find out…

Warner Bros. has released the second trailer for Zack Snyder’s Superman film, Man of Steel.

The trailer dramatically builds up to the official introduction of Superman to audiences and the world, whom Clark worries may not be ready.

Man of Steel stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Russell Crowe as Jor-El and Michael Shannon as General Zod — all of whom make an appearance in the trailer. The film will release nationwide on June 14, 2013.

Russell Crowe As Wolverine? It Nearly Happened

As strange as it sounds now, apparently Russell Crowe was the original choice to play Wolverine in Bryan Singer’s X-Men.

Released in 2000, Singer apparently offered the role to the Gladiator star, but Crowe thought better of it. This interesting tidbit of information came to light in a recent interview that the eventual Wolverine, Hugh Jackman, did with Entertainment Weekly.

“The Man with the Iron Fists” (2012) Trailer #2 (NSFW)

The second trailer for the RZA’s upcoming martial arts film, The Man with the Iron Fists, is out.

The first half of the trailer doesn’t offer any new footage seeing as it’s a complete rehash of the first trailer, but the second half does. During the last minute of the trailer we’re treated to more of the film’s over-the-top action, as well as names for the film’s major characters.

The Man with the Iron Fists is out November 2nd and stars The RZA, Russell Crowe, Lucy Liu, Jamie Chung, Pam Grier and Dave Bautista.

“The Man With The Iron Fists” (2012) - Red Band Trailer

This has got to be one of the most fun trailers of the year. The Man With the Iron Fists comes from Quentin Tarantino, is directed and co-written by The RZA—along with Eli Roth—and stars Russell Crowe alongside Lucy Liu, Pam Grier and Jamie Chung.

As you would expect from a martial arts film from the aforementioned trio, this trailer is nothing short of bloody fun and mayhem as it centers around a feudal-era China, weapons maker who must defend his village’s people.

No release date has been set, but it should be released later this year.
