Treat this purely as a rumor for now, but Worst Previews is reporting that Star Wars: Episode VII will focus the majority of its story on the children of Luke, Han and Leia.

Earlier reports suggested that the film will pick up after the events of Return of the Jedi, although, if the latest rumor is to be believed, we won’t join the action until several years after Jedi.

It was only this week that Walt Disney had confirmed that it was looking to follow individual standalone films in the Star Wars universe. These films will not directly tie into the new trilogy that J.J. Abrams is working on.

The early rumor was that one of the films will be focusing on Yoda. Well, EW is reporting that the first two projects will actually follow Boba Fett and a young Han Solo in separate adventures.

With Robert Rodriguez recently saying he’d love to do a standalone Han Solo Star Wars film, there’s been more news coming out in regards to solo (of the non-Han variety) outings.

When the news broke of Disney purchasing Lucasfilm, the Internet went crazy with Star Wars rumors. One topic that has been at the front of the rumor mill since then has been who will direct the new films in the series. Many directors were quick to rule themselves out: Spielberg, Tarantino, Abrams, Bird, del Toro and Zack Snyder, for example.

Well, it seems as if Snyder will be involved in a new Star Wars film after all, just not what you’d expect.

After selling Lucasfilm to Disney for a ridiculous amount of money, George Lucas and his beard are set to ride off into the sunset and enjoy the retired life.

When the Disney purchase was announced, it was also made known that Lucas will act as a consultant on any future Star Wars releases. What exactly does that role entail? Access Hollywood had a chat with “The Beard” to find out.

Ever since the announcement of Lucasfilm being sold to Disney, and of new Star Wars films to come, the Internet has been alive with the sound of rumors. With a new, big screen Star Wars adventure on its way in 2015, it was confirmed a few weeks ago that a script for Star Wars: Episode VII is being worked on by Michael Arndt. It was also confirmed that Lawrence Kasdan (The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, Raiders of the Lost Ark) and Simon Kinberg (X-Men: First Class, Sherlock Holmes, X-Men: Days of Future Past) had been brought into the fold to work on scripts for Star Wars: Episode VIII and Star Wars: Episode IX.

It turns out that the story involving Kasdan and Kinberg has a bit more to it.

Earlier this year, we were treated to Stars Wars: The Phantom Menace in shiny, impressive 3D, with Star Wars: Attack of the Clones 3D set to follow in September and Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith 3D in October of 2013. The release date of Anakin’s 3D embracing of the Dark Side has now been brought forward by a week.
