Opening Your Day: All in the Family

The weekend is a good opportunity to spend time with loved ones and reminisce about the old days.

First Trailer For Marvel’s “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”

There have been little snippets floating around for a bit now, but last night saw ABC show the first full 30-second trailer for Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the TV follow-up to The Avengers.

Directed and co-written by Joss Whedon, whilst Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen also co-write, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. sees the return of fan favorite Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg) in a world of espionage which has been radically changed by the battle of New York.

Let the Coulson theories continue!

Could Green Lantern Appear In “Arrow”?
There’s a bit of a history between Green Lantern and Green Arrow teaming up in the comics, as well as appearing in each other’s titles. SO could we see another shade green in the Arrow television show?
According to Arrow Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim, it’s at least been discussed.

“I would never say never. It’s certainly something that we’ve talked about.
As with all DC characters, we have to figure out a way for those characters to fit within our Arrow universe. But when you consider the importance that Hal Jordan plays in the Green Arrow comics, it’s certainly one of those names that we’ve discussed a great deal. I have Ryan Reynolds’ phone number around here somewhere.”

What do you think? Would you like to see Green Lantern appear in Arrow?

image

If you’ve been watching television for as long as I have, it’s only natural to develop crushes on actors, personalities and characters. And with me being a red-blooded male, I crushed on a lot of television girls over the years.

As an Asian American myself, I’ve always been more drawn to Asian women. And while there has been a steady increase of talented Asian individuals presented on American screens (small and big) than ever before, it’s understandably still a minor percentage. Which is why when Asian women are featured more prominently in the shows I’m watching, my heart tends to gravitate towards them more.

Below are my 5 biggest American television Asian girl crushes from the past 20 years — neither of whom are in the intro image, which only features my honorable mentions. Did your favorites make my list? Hit the break to find out!

“Game Of Thrones” Theme Played On University Of Wisconsin Bells

University Of Wisconsin student Lyle Anderson is apparently a fan of Game Of Thrones. Above is video of Anderson playing the HBO show’s theme on the campus’ bell tower carillon.

Seems kind of appropriate.
