Nickelodeon Releases A Second “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” Trailer
After revealing more details about this upcoming series at Comic Con last weekend, Nickelodeon has released another trailer for their new show, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
The series, which is going to premiere on September 29th on Nickelodeon, will be featuring slight changes from the old school 90s series and the fan favorite 2003 series.
Other than changing the animation style to CGI, the turtles will be featuring a wider array of weapons and fighting styles, including having both Donatello and Michelangelo wield bladed weapons as opposed to their blunt ones.
As a fan of the ridiculous, slapstick-filled 90s series and the more serious, action-oriented 2003 series, I am a bit skeptical about Nickelodeon taking the reigns of this childhood favorite. But I am hoping they will mix the good parts of both former shows and create a great new show!

Aaaand we have another contestant in the movie rental game. Flix on Stix is offering their rental program (movies, tv shows, and games) by way of USB sticks or SD cards. It seems to work much like the Redbox kiosks, but instead of receiving a disk, you simply connect your storage device. The fees for a movie are $1 for 3 days, $2 for 6, $3 for 9 days and $4 for 12 days, with an additional option to buy.
It’s unclear how the file expires or “self-destructs” after the rental period, but the idea of it all seems feasible. A definite advantage is that you won’t have to deal with scratched discs. Plus, you’ll have all offered movies available at hand, as well as no need to return them in a timely manner. With a hard copy on USB, you won’t have to worry about internet streaming and possible dropped connections. Also, thumb drives are very common nowadays, as well as getting cheaper for larger capacities.
The actual service hasn’t launched as of yet, but be on a lookout in the near future.
