Fan Favorite ‘13 - Sweet 16: Mabel Pines vs. Batman

image

After a grand total of 32 casualties in the First Round, 16 survivors remain in the hunt for the title of Fan Favorite. And from here on out, they’ll do battle the old fashion way: 1 vs. 1.

The older twin sister from Gravity Falls surprised many when she narrowly edged out two geeky powerhouses in the most-voted match of the First Round. One of the characters she defeated was the little partner of her next opponent, The Dark Knight, who had no problem serving some hard justice to a couple of foes.

Who will be the first to land in the Elite 8: the newcomer Mabel Pines or the experienced Batman? Help decide by voting after the break!

How To Make Your Own Batarangs

I’m sure that many of you, whether you are Batman fans or not, have always thought it would be cool to have your own set of batarangs. Well, thanks to this handy little video walkthrough, you can now make them!

So long as you have a fully equipped blacksmith shop, and are trained to use the heavy machinery of course, but details.

Watch the video above to see Tony Swatton, the man behind the “Man At Arms” web-series create the batarangs. As you would expect, they are pretty darn lethal.

Fan Favorite ‘13 - First Round: Green Lantern vs. Batman vs. Max Payne

image

Kicking off our 2nd annual Fan Favorite tourney is a good ol’ cross-medium geek battle!

Kyle Rayner a.k.a. THE Green Lantern is no stranger to representing a big group (Green Lantern Corp in New Guardians), and this time he’ll be representing the entire comics universe. Batman rises one last time to do battle for all the film fans out there; in particular, Pop GO’s film staff. And Max Payne may have thought he had no one left to fight for, but he does now: gamers across the world.

Comics vs. Film vs. Gaming. Help give one medium bragging rights, and help send the first character into the Sweet 16 after the break!

A week or two ago now, Joseph Gordon-Levitt was being talked up for the role as Batman in 2015′s Justice League. Joel Schumacher Comments On Christopher Nolan’s Batman Trilogy

image

Joel Schumacher is a man shrouded in infamy by the Bat Universe for being responsible for Batman Forever and Batman & Robin — the latter of which was the final nail in the coffin of the Caped Crusader. Schumacher and his Bat-nipples are largely held responsible for destroying the Batman mythos so much that it took 8 years before another Batman live-action film could be taken seriously.

He has given his thoughts to ComingSoon.net on Christopher Nolan’s recent Batman trilogy.
