The Hero’s Log - Skyrim (Part 9)

28th of Last Seed 4E 201

The return to Riverwood was, fortunately, without interruption. We immediately made way for The Sleeping Giant to reunite Esbern and her, the last of the Blades. Once inside Delphine’s hidden room, Esbern informed us that we needed to locate Alduin’s Wall as it could give us clues on how to defeat Alduin. This wall chornicles all the knowledge that the Blades have in regards to this fearsome dragon, and without Esbern’s help we would never be able to find it. The wall is located within Sky Haven Temple which served as a refuge for the Blades here in Skyrim long ago.

The Hero’s Log - Skyrim (Part 7)

24th of Last Seed 4E 201

I still felt a bit sore as I pulled on my armor before a quick breakfast. There were as many backers as there were threats all about. Those who saw me as a savior, those that would seek me out for their own gain, and those that wished to kill me. This latter list troubled me as it included dragons and possibly the Thalmor. They had a lot of sway now, even in Skyrim, thanks to the Stormcloak Rebellion. If Delphine was correct, then setting her plan into motion would possibly be or best chance of ending the threat of dragons. However, I knew her plan would take some time to complete and decided to first set off for High Hrothgar to return The Horn or Jurgen Windcaller.

The Hero’s Log - Skyrim (Part 5)

21st of Last Seed, 4E 201

Come morning we braved the whipping wind-cutting over the side of the broken stairs and worn path leading back down to Ivarsted. The climb down was much easier than that of the climb up, especially without a Frost Troll to deal with. We found Klimmek on our way to Vilemyr Inn and he paid us for taking the supplies for him.

After a quick breakfast, we gathered our belongings and started to make our way toward Ustengrav. To reach our destination, we’d need to pass Whiterun and then continue North to Dawnstar where we planned to seek lodging. I had not been this far North in many years, nor had I seen Ustengrav before. As we traveled, Lydia told me what she knew of the area, which helped pass the time.

The Hero’s Log - Skyrim (Part 4)

20th of Last Seed, 4E 201

Lydia and I first stopped at The Bannered Mare for some food and some time to rest before the trek to High Hrothgar. Whilst we ate we shared tales and got better acquainted. There have been a lot of changes here in Skyrim that I was not fully aware of, and it’s nice to have someone to answer these questions. Once we finished our food we visited the shops, buying the provisions we’d need. The journey shouldn’t be too long, but I’d rather have a little extra food just in case.

The Hero’s Log - Skyrim (Part 3)

19th of Last Seed, 4E 201

I set out for Whiterun early in the morning after gathering up my belongings. Aside from the guards still stationed in Riverwood, there seemed to be no sign that dragons were once again roaming the lands. I wasn’t about to let my guard down, and though I stowed my armor in my pack, I kept my sword and shield at the ready.

The Hero’s Log - Skyrim (Part 2)

18th of Last Seed, 4E 201

I had not planned to sleep until morning, but the rest felt good nonetheless. I bid everyone farewell, promising to make haste to Whiterun. If I am lucky, I could easily be back home within the next few days with a story to tell at the tavern. I would have liked to been able to continue hunting down my bounty, but with all that has happened I don’t think any would call me a coward for going back now.

The Hero’s Log - Skyrim

The Journal of Tyrlaf the Wolf, once mercenary, now the Hero of Skyrim. The Dragonborn.

17th of Last Seed, 4E 201

I awoke to a throbbing pain in my head, worsened by the swaying cart beneath me and the clopping of the horses hooves upon the well beaten road. There was an Imperial Legionaire at the reigns and around me were other prisoners, their hands bound same as mine. It all came back to me at that moment: Why I was here and where we were headed.
