Set Photos From “The Wolverine” Provide First Glimpse Of The Silver Samurai
It seems that set photo leaks are all the rage this week, with set photos revealing the new suit from the RoboCop reboot, and there also being images released confirming Svetlana Khodchenkova’s involvement with The Wolverine as Viper (minus the green hair) hitting the net too.
Today sees another batch of photos surface from The Wolverine, this time revealing the armour which Will Yun Lee will be wearing as the Silver Samurai. Admittedly the image is fairly limited (merely showing his back), but it does serve as confirmation that the character will be dressed in his traditional costume.
There are also a couple of images of Hugh Jackman’s stunt double, complete with claws. Hopefully this means we won’t get the naff CGI ones in this film then.
The Wolverine hits theaters July 26, 2013.

Variety reports that Will Yun Lee will portray Kenuichio Harada, the villain better known as the Silver Samurai in James Mangold’s The Wolverine.
This comes soon after the news of other key roles being cast for the adaptation of Claremont and Miller’s 1982 Wolverine mini-series, with Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, Tao Okamoto and Rila Fukushima cast as Shingen, Yashida, Mariko and Yukio respectively. Indeed, it is understood that Fox was keen on ensuring that Japanese actors were cast in order to help the film’s authenticity.
As for the role of Lee as the Silver Samurai, little else is known currently other than that he is intended to be the film’s primary antagonist against Wolverine.
The Wolverine is currently expected to open in theaters on July 26, 2013.
