The film was a surprise hit that summer, and expectations could not be higher for the follow-up, Star Trek Into Darkness.

So could the film live up to those expectations? Read on to find out…

New “Star Trek Into Darkness” International Trailer

Paramount Pictures has dropped a new international trailer for the upcoming Star Trek sequel.

A ton of new footage has been added, with a bit more clarity on the film’s plot and maybe another subtle hint that Benedict Cumberbatch may indeed be Kahn. It could very well just be more misdirection from the studio, but it will implant those suspicions into the minds of eager fans.

Star Trek Into Darkness sees J.J. Abrams returning to helm the project along with stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Anton Yelchin, John Cho, Simon Pegg, Bruce Greenwood and the additions of Benedict Cumberbatch and Alice Eve.

“The Words” (2012) Debut Trailer

Considering the story behind the movie, I’d say this is a poor trailer since the song used makes it feel like a romance drama rather than a drama about a writer who gets a big break of a work he plagiarized and winds up being confronted by the original writer.

Still, there is good word of mouth about this movie from the Sundance Film Festival and it does have a solid cast which includes Bradley Cooper, Zoe Saldana, Jeremy Irons, Olivia Wilde, Dennis Quaid, along with Ben Barnes and J.K. Simmons.

The Words makes it way to theaters September 21st.
