Set 100 years in the future, players will get to experience the third and final journey of Lightning sometime in 2013.

Official Debut Trailer For “Oblivion”

In case you missed it, the debut trailer for the futuristic science fiction film Oblivion, starring Tom Cruise, officially hit the web yesterday on iTunes. It followed the release of its first poster from earlier in the week.

The trailer shows Cruise’s character, a drone repairman named Jack Harper, making his rounds on the ruin-filled ground level of Earth until he comes across Scavs, the alien race responsible for half the Earth’s destruction, another human faction led by a character played by Morgan Freeman, and a mysterious woman played by Olga Kurylenko — all of which seem to lead to hidden truths that need uncovered.

Oblivion is directed by Joseph Kosinkis (TRON: Legacy) and is set to release exclusively on IMAX on April 12, 2013, and then a week later nationwide on April 19.

First Official Poster For “Oblivion”
IGN has just released the first poster for Oblivion, a futuristic science fiction film starring Tom Cruise.
Cruise plays Jack Harper, who is one of the last remaining drone repairmen on Earth — where humans live in the sky— and is tasked with extracting vital resources from the ground after “decades of war with a terrifying threat known as the Scavs.”
Directed by Joseph Kosinksi (TRON: Legacy), the film will no doubt be visually appealing. Kosinski also created the graphic novel the film is based on, so he’s obviously the best person for the job and has the clearest and most trustworthy vision for the film.
Oblivion also stars Morgan Freeman, Olga Kurylenko and Melissa Leo, and opens exclusively on IMAX on April 12, and then nationwide on April 19, 2013.

Official Announcement Trailer For “Star Trek Into Darkness”

It’s safe to say that the hype machine for Star Trek Into Darkness has officially arrived. Earlier this week, we were treated to the film’s first poster and a “clip” from Zachary Quinto on Conan. Now we get the film’s first official teaser trailer, which recently went live on iTunes.

Chillingly narrated by the yet-to-be-named villain (rumored to be Khan) of the sequel, played by Benedict Cumberbatch, the trailer shows nothing but mayhem and destruction befalling the crew of the USS Enterprise due to the actions of said villain.

With most of the cast returning, Star Trek Into Darkness descends on May 17, 2013.
