Who’s going to Anime Expo this year?? We are, and we’re going to provide coverage of the event this weekend!
If you see Mike (above), our resident press reporter and photographer, feel free to say hi! And if you’re cosplaying, he’ll definitely take a photo of you, and your cosplay photo may make it onto the site and will definitely be featured on our Facebook. :)
Hopefully see you at AX!

I’m so sad Anime Expo 2011 is over, but even sadder that I didn’t have time to cosplay this year. I was mainly admiring everyone else’s cosplays with envy. There were a lot of amazing cosplays, so I just wanted to showcase my favorites.

Anime Expo has arrived! A few Pop GO staff members will be gallivanting throughout the LA Convention Center all 4 days.
Somakun (pictured above) in particular, will be roaming the con doing what he loves to do: taking pictures. He’ll be snapping copious amount of photos of all the awesome cosplays that only the largest anime convention in North America can provide. Expect all of his cosplay photos to be published on the site!
But that’s not all.
There’s something we’d like to do for our wonderful readers who attend AX. As a token of our appreciation, we’d like to take a photo of YOU! We want to take a photo of all of the readers we come across and feature you and your Tumblr on our site.
So here’s what you do: Cosplayers or not, if you spot somakun — easily recognizable with the big Pop GO patch attached to him — at Anime Expo, greet him by yelling out, “Pop GO!” He’ll then hand you his trusty dry erase board and marker (pictured below), and on it, you will write your Tumblr handle (if you don’t have a Tumblr, no worries!) along with whatever message you like. He’ll then happily take a photo of you holding up the dry erase board, and that photo will go up on the site!

Even if you don’t want your picture taken, we would love to meet the people who have blessed us with immeasurable support since we’ve been online!
Kandiiholic will also be stationed at the Artist Alley selling her Pin Me Cutie accessories. If you spot her, feel free to drop her a line or two.
So don’t be shy if you come across us at AX. We’re all the same people, who enjoy the same mediums and we’ll be attending and sweating in the same packed convention center. Don’t be afraid to say hi!
See you at Anime Expo 2011!!
