Well, it’s now official: The CW has announced that Arrow will get a second season. It’s not yet known how many episodes have been ordered for the second season, but I’d expect it to follow the same route as the first season.
Find out more after the break.

Hot on the heels of his surprise announcement that he will not be returning for the third season of Teen Wolf, Colton Haynes has been cast in a recurring role as Roy Harper beginning in the latter half of the first season of Arrow.

Promo For “Arrow” Teases Mid-Season Finale And ‘The Archer’
As TV shows often do over the winter holidays, Arrow will vanish from our screens for a bit before returning in the new year. And well, the CW really want you to know that something big is about to go down in the mid-season finale.
Last week saw images for a mysterious new Archer released, and now the network has released a small promo for the appropriately titled “Year’s End,” which shows this menacing new individual enter Oliver’s life.
Arrow airs on Wednesdays at 8pm on The CW.

Not The Only Archer In Town — New Stills For “Arrow” Feature A Mysterious New Archer
The CW has released another batch of stills for Arrow, their new superhero drama featuring Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, Starling City’s vigilante archer.
The latest stills show that Oliver is not the only man who can wield a bow, however, with a mysterious new archer set to come on the scene in the December 12 episode, titled “Year’s End.”
For a full look at the stills released, which include a look at a Christmas gathering for the Queen family, check the source.
Arrow airs on Wednesdays at 8pm on The CW.

Two episodes in, and it appears that the CW is pretty happy with the reception Arrow has been receiving. The show, which stars Stephen Amell as Oliver “Green Arrow” Queen, managed to pull in 4.1 million viewers with its debut and 3.5 million viewers with the second episode.
And that’s enough for CW to commit to the rest of the show’s freshman season.
More information after the break.

Fans were teased by the appearance of Slade Wilson’s mask in the promotional appearance for Arrow, a scene which also made an appearance in the show’s pilot.
And well, fans won’t have to wait long for him debut in the show and visit Oliver Queen in Starling City. The character has been confirmed to appear in the fifth episode!
IGN has been provided with an exclusive first look of Jeffrey Robinson in full costume as the master assassin, and he looks pretty impressive. He certainly is a lot closer to his comic’s counterpart than the portrayal of the character in Smallville.
Deathstroke is due to appear in episode five of Arrow, titled “Damaged,” which is due to air in November.

More Images From “Arrow” Pilot Surface
It seems that the CW has really fired up the promotional machine for Arrow recently. This week has seen two new short trailers for the show, and now they are following up by giving us more images from the Pilot.
Once again, the photos very much focus around Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell), showing him looking fairly ragged on the island, before returning to Starling City to begin his new double life as Arrow.
Arrow debuts Wednesday, October 10, on the CW.

He’s No Good For You - New Promo For “Arrow” Released
With the premiere of Arrow on the CW edging ever closer, it seems that the network is now stepping up their promotional campaign.
After an action-packed teaser looking at Oliver Queen’s double life a few days ago, we now get a different look at the archer — one that I can only imagine is intended to market Arrow in hopes of luring the CW’s female audience.
Arrow is set to debut Wednesday, 10 October, on the CW.

‘Justice’ - New “Arrow” Preview Released
We are now just a month away from the debut of Arrow, the CW’s new superhero drama based on the DC Comics’s character, Green Arrow.
This latest teaser spotlights Oliver Queen’s double life as the Emerald Archer and a wealthy millionaire playboy, with Arrow’s new brand of justice gaining him many admirers — as well as enemies.
Arrow premieres Wednesday, October 10 on The CW.

Arrow has added yet another cast member, in the form of Jessica De Gouw who will be playing Helena, a character based on the comic book world’s Helena Bertinelli, AKA the Huntress. Her “determination to destroy her father’s criminal empire puts her on a collision course with Arrow,” both in her civilian guise and as the Huntress herself, in a multi-episode arc.
This marks the second time the Huntress has appeared on the small screen, after her appearance in the Birds of Prey TV series.
Arrow begins 10th October, on The CW.

The CW has released a new poster for Arrow, the upcoming superhero drama based on the DC Comics character, Green Arrow.
The poster depicts a shirtless Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell), revealing an array of scars which the vigilante has picked up, along with the tagline “Destiny Leaves Its Mark.”
Arrow has also recently added Torchwood star John Barrowman to its cast in a mysterious, currently unnamed recurring role.
Arrow premieres Wednesday, October 10 on The CW.
