The climatic film in the Golden Age Arc, it’s set for a January 2013 premiere in Japan. It was announced earlier this year that Viz has the licenses for the three films, and will actually be bringing the English dub of the film to the U.S. via their Neon Alley stream this Fall. DVD and Blu Ray editions will release on November 27.
Third “Berserk” Film Poster
A poster for the third Berserk film Berserk Ogon Jidai-Hen III: Korin (Berserk Golden Age Arc III: Descent) has come out online.
The film reveals that it will see a January 2013 release, which is a delay from its initial schedule of later this year. The tag line on the poster reads: “It is all a part of the flow of causality.”
This will serve as Studio 4°C’s third and final Berserk anime film.

Kentaro Miura-sensei is the mangaka, both the author and artist, for the behemoth of a manga, Berserk. Miura-sensei received second place in the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize of Excellence in 2002 for his work in Berserk. In my opinion, he should have earned first place.

Music Video: First “Berserk” Movie Ending Theme Music
Posted on AI’s YouTube channel is a video of clip from the upcoming Berserk movie trilogy, Berserk Ogon Jidai-Hen I: Haō no Tamago, put together alongside with her song “Utsukushikimono” (Beautiful Thing).

The voice cast for the upcoming animation Berserk film has been confirmed. Unfortunately, the voice actors of the 1997 anime series won’t be returning for their roles in the animated film.
Below is the cast list for Guts, Griffith and Casca:

Guts - Iwanaga Hiroaki (岩永洋昭). He acted as Ishiguro Eiji in Tomica Hero: Rescue Force and had a recurring role in the live adaptation of Moyashimon.
Griffith - Sakurai Takahiro (櫻井孝宏). Sakurai-san is a prolific voice actor in Japan, with famous roles such as Cloud in Final Fantasy, Yuri Shibuya in Kyou Kara Maou.
Casca - Yukinari Toa. Yukinair-san has had a few guest roles in various anime, but mainly involved in dubbing works for foreign dramas.

When news first broke of a new film project having to do with Kentaro’s Miura’s Berserk, fans couldn’t have been any more excited.
And the infant crawls of information only served to build that excitement. But it now looks as if we’ve finally got some information on the first film from the project.
The film will be titled Berserk Ōgon Jidai-Hen I: Haō no Tamago (Berserk Golden Age Arc I: Egg of the Supreme Ruler) and will release in Japanese theaters next January.
Toshiyuki Kubooka at Studio 4°C (Batman: Gotham Knight) is directing and Warner Brothers Japan is distributing.
It also appears that the promotion beast for the film is fully aweakening.
A twitter has also been set up, under the name “Clara de Porras” which is suppose to be from the Midland Kingdom’s Public Relations Office. The film’s official website will finally launch July 15.
So it appears that they are starting over story-wise, at least with the first film, which could be very interesting depending on what they take from the manga and leave out this time.

In early October, a mysterious trailer for cult favorite Berserk was released to the public. The specifics were unknown, but a project for another Berserk anime adaptation was indeed underway.
This past Saturday, Kadowa Shoten’s Newtype magazine shed a little light to the mystery, announcing that a Berserk film will kick the project off. The film is set to release sometime this year, which, according to Newtype, will be the first part of a Berserk project faithful to the manga.
My initial thoughts? HELL YES.
It’s not clear whether this film will prelude an episodic season or will be the first film of many films. But it’s leading me to believe that it will not be a long awaited sequel to the original anime series, rather, a complete reboot. Either way, Berserk is coming back, and whatever direction they decide to go is fine with me.
At long last, a new anime adaptation of Berserk!
I will try to keep my composure because the sheer joy being felt right now may cause me to type incoherently. But at some point last week, a brief commercial aired in Japan which indeed confirmed something a lot of fans have been waiting for — a new Berserk anime.
The information around the net is as vague as it gets. It is unclear whether this will be a new series, a sequel series, a theatrical release, or an OVA. My personal preference would have me heavily lean towards a sequel because the original anime (one of my favorites of all time) is sorely in need of closure. No matter. What is clear, though, is that the project for an anime is indeed underway, and we can expect watching Berserk in the near future!

“Gats, known as the Black Swordsman, seeks sanctuary from the demonic forces attracted to him and his woman because of a demonic mark on their necks, and also vengeance against the man who branded him as an unholy sacrifice. Aided only by his titanic strength gained from a harsh childhood lived with mercenaries, a gigantic sword, and an iron prosthetic left hand, Gats must struggle against his bleak destiny, all the while fighting with a rage that might strip him of his humanity.” -MANGAtoshokan
