Christian Bale Visits Colorado Shooting Victims

Actor Christian Bale spent the afternoon at the Medical Center of Aurora, as well as with victims from the Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, Colorado, to meet with those injured in the mass shooting that took place during a midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises at the Century Aurora 16. The Denver Post said that Bale spent two and a half hours at the hospital, and besides victims, also met with police officers and emergency medical technicians who were first responders at the incident.

Bale initially requested to not have the media informed, but news of his appearance began to spread once pictures of him meeting with victim Carey Rottman (pictured above) and Swedish Medical staff leaked on Twitter.

A rep from Warner Bros. confirmed that Bale was there “representing himself and not Warner Bros.”
