
Writer/director/all-round genius, Wes Anderson, has finally confirmed the full cast for his next project, The Grand Budapest Hotel.
The mind behind such classics as Rushmore (1998), The Royal Tenenbaums (2001), The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou (2004), The Darjeeling Limited (2007), Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009)and this year’s brilliant Moonrise Kingdom, Anderson gave away the information during an interview with TheHollywoodReporter.

Wes Anderson has as many admirers as he does detractors. I’ve been an avid admirer since Rushmore, which for many years was my favorite film. His detractors have leveled many complaints at his films, that they’re overly stylized, twee, and they favor style over content. I have always been able to overlook the two former complaints because the third has been unfounded… until now.

Okay, you’re going to have to bear with me through this one. It’s a long trip down logic lane, but I’ve made this argument before. If Atticus Finch is a hero that stands for everything good and noble in this world, The Narrator (Edward Norton) from David Fincher’s 1999 masterpiece Fight Club stands at the opposite end of the hero spectrum. His motives, interests and actions are all purely self-serving, but for any American male living in the late 20th or early 21st century, he is the hero we all need.

The remake/reboot of RoboCop has been bounced from director to director over, what seems like, the last decade, but after recently locking down Elite Squad 1 & 2 director Jose Padilha & The Killing star Joel Kinnaman, it looks as though they’re trying to fill out the cast with some pretty great actors, namely Sean Penn, Edward Norton, Rebecca Hall & Gael Garcia Bernal.
