Don’t believe everything that you hear. That’s what Square Enix CEO Yoichi Wada seemed to convey as he sent out a tweet confirming that Final Fantasy Versus XIII does still exist among rumors pertaining to the title’s demise.

The first Final Fantasy Versus XIII gameplay trailer has been released and it looks gorgeous. Well, at least the graphics do. Again, Square has outdone themselves with the visuals but the gameplay… not so much.
Gameplay kicks in at the halfway point of the trailer but it looks bland, clunky and unoriginal. In fact, I think the makers of Kingdom Hearts should sue! Oh wait…
Whatever, Square has been working on this game for the past decade it seems like. They’ll have plenty of time over the next millennium it’ll take to finally finish it.
