Today’s remix: Listen! To The Deadly Art Of Shiny Remix In Hell!

On a serious note, this week’s choice won’t kill you in ten seconds, but like its original counterpart, it does have a lot of action for the ears.

I’ve always found it a bit odd that for such a violent and, at times, grim show like Fist Of the North Star (Hokuto No Ken), that, musically, the opening performed by Crystal King sounds so upbeat. The lyrics are a different matter, of course, teetering on dramatic. I guess what primarily makes the song fit with the series, though, is how exciting it sounds—perhaps meant to set up the super charged action of the series.

The song’s late 80’s era audio energy is what makes it some memorable. None of that is taken away from this 16-bit remix of the song. It’s still just as catchy and excitable as its original counterpart. In fact, I’d say that listening to this makes me  desperate to replay a Hokuto No Ken old school game on the Sega.
