Part one of “Hulk United” starts in this issue marking the beginning of the end for Jason Aaron’s run with the character. It seems even more evident that the outcome of these final three issues will be leading directly into Mark Waid and Leinil Yu’s Indestructible Hulk title in November, so anyone looking forward to that may want to check out what’s happening here first. And if you’ve already been reading this series then know that it seems Aaron is set on making the whole ride worth the price of admission.

Jason Aaron wraps up his “Stay Angry” arc here in grand fashion as Hulk is trapped in an Antarctic prison cell and pitted against both Wolverine and the Thing, with Banner’s plan finally revealed. This issue makes up for a lot of the shortcomings of the previous parts of this arc, but it still leaves the reader wanting more.

The Hulk still has to “Stay Angry” as we learn, issue by issue, what Banner’s secret plan is. In this issue, we see the Jade Giant stuck in the jungle against none other than Kraven the Hunter, as well as a bunch of apes (well… Bigfoots, Yeti’s, and other ape-like creatures. You get the idea).
