God of War III Play Arts Kai Kratos

Take a look at this beefy sculpt of a figure. Square Enix brings God of War III’s Kratos to us through their Play Arts Kai line.

Kratos comes with two sets of hands, Blades of Exile, and Claws of Hades. His release is set for April, but get ready to probably pay as much as you spent on the game.

Play Arts Kai Cyborg Ninja WIP

Hideo Kojima tweeted about an action figure in the works. Metal Gear fans may know him as Gray Fox or the Cyborg Ninja, and he will be part of Square Enix’s Play Arts Kai figure line.

I really appreciate the detail that’s going into this figure but the incredible attention to detail is normal in Square’s Play Arts figures, so I would expect nothing less. I keep debating on picking up Snake whenever I visit my usual anime store. I will eventually get him but I am pretty positive that I’m going to also swoop up on Gray Fox.

Play Arts Kai figures: Final Fantasy Dissidia

[via TOMOPOP]

Next to Revoltechs, I’m also a big fan of Square Enix’s Play Arts toy lines. They can get pretty detailed and are able to achieve some really dynamic poses, especially their Kai figure lines. This latest line of characters come from the Final Fantasy Dissidia video game. I’m not sure if we need another Cloud figure but that Squall one is the bee’s knees. I wonder if SE has plans for more Dissidia characters because I do have a fancy for those character designs.

Final Fantasy XIII - Play Arts Kai - Odin Figure

I’ll admit that I wasn’t a big fan of Final Fantasy XIII but this Odin figure would be a nice figure to pick up. Besides the articulation and attention to detail, this figure can transform into it’s different forms in the game.

Imported from Japan! Square Enix’s Play Arts -Kai- figures are an improved version of their popular Play Arts action figure series. With a larger scale, a greater attention to detail, more articulation points, and additional parts, these are their finest action figure yet. Based on Final Fantasy XIII, … this deluxe action figure recreates the Odin summons from the new game. The chief Norse god, Odin, transforms from a human-like god into an impressive horse that can be summoned by Lightning, the game’s primary character.
