Soon to become King of Monster Land, prince Kaibutsu-kun runs away from his throning ceremony after the citizens begin to accuse him of being selfish. Along with his monster cohorts— Dracula, Wolfman, and Franken— Kaibutsu-kun takes a trip to the human world to visit some old friends in Japan. However, an accident throws them off course, landing them in The Curry Kingdom.

Getting its US premiere at AM² this past weekend, Kaibutsu-kun: The Movie is a followup to the popular TV drama series. Ohno Satoshi reprises his titular role as Kaibutsu-kun, along with a return of a majority of the series’ cast.
