Due to an unexpected amount of of time constraints; A new job, Classes, and School work I have not posted Anime Reviews for Togainu No Chi and Panty and Stocking With Garterbelt. To be more specific, I haven’t even had time to seen the new episodes myself. I wish to firstly, apologize to the readers and anyone waiting for them and to inform you all that I plan to have all the episodes reviewed and ready to be posted on Tuesday, if all goes well. Once again, My sincerest apologies too all of you. Arigatou Gomenasai!

Every time I think the next episode of Panty and Stocking won’t be as hilarious and over the top as last weeks, I am gladly proven wrong. I’d also like to point out that this is going to be a smaller review then the others due to time restraints that have occurred in my life right now, which I doubt you care about and I’m too lazy to explain. Time to review though!

As I stated in my first review, Togainu No Chi is based on a Yaoi PC game. The first episode really didn’t show any relation to having anything to do with homosexuality, but well…you start to see noticeable traits of its PC game origin in episode 2. I’m not too fond of some of these overly done pretty boy character designs, so If I offend anyone, I apologize in advance to those who are.

Going through the internet yesterday, I found a very amusing thread on 4chan (Yes, I view 4chan) and found a very interesting Panty and Stocking thread. I’ve found it very hard to find any very good Panty and Stocking wallpapers myself, So I felt like I should help out any PaS fan’s by sharing my find. Some of these pictures are NSFW so beware, mostly PG-13 stuff though. Photo spill after the break!

If anyone was expecting Panty and Stocking With Garterbelt to slow down its sexual jokes and sexual references that it’s become very famous for, then boy oh boy, are you going to be very upset with Episode 3 of Panty and Stocking With Garterbelt.

“Catfight Club”

Although I found the previous episodes of Panty and Stocking more comedic than this current one, I was very happy to see more attention and fan service positioned on Stocking because I’ve felt she has previously been overshadowed by Panty a bit too much in the series. Also, because if you haven’t noticed by now, I’m much more of a fan of Stocking than Panty. The strange thing about the first half of this episode is that it actually contains a lesson this time around - Sisters will fight, but together they are the best demon ass kicking team ever! We also now know that Stocking’s boobs are most likely bigger then Panty’s because she has a very awesome body fat system that stores all her fat gained from sweets into her boobs (I’m sure every woman in the world is jealous of Stocking at this very moment). Important information, right? You bet your ass it is.

The fight over the pudding was kinda stupid but I love Stocking too much to whine about her love for sweets, and I suppose the episode needed some kind of plot starting device for the episode to continue. The episode leads the sisters to split up over the pudding fight, and also leads them to a race to find the demon kidnapping people by themselves. Stocking, which heads out first, finds the demon first..or well actually, the demon finds her first by disguising itself as red riding hood and tricking our innocent Stocking into a dark lonely alley. There’s also a little jab at Japan with the Loli boom, seen as the red riding hood girl would attract older men. Ah, Japan! Your culture is so very interesting!

It wasn’t much of a surprise when we find out it was actually a demon in disguise, BUT what was a surprise was that our little innocent Stocking is into the freaky stuff! Yes, our beloved Stocking likes it rough and actually enjoys the whip pressed tightly across her body (I also errhm, enjoyed it myself a bit too…Bondage ftw? >_>). We get a very nice, more detailed, anime close up of the err…lasso-ing of Stocking and some witty banter from the demons.

Unfortunately, Panty has to show up and release Stocking from the grip of the demons. Such a shame. After a decent ass whooping from the demons, the girls decide to put their differences aside for the moment (morale of the episode) and give the demons their much needed pay back. Never fill up Panty and Stockings anger meter, bad stuff happens if you do. I’d also like to add: Very nice taste in bras, Stocking. Very nice taste. :) Not much really goes on in this half of the episode, so I don’t really have much to say besides the love for Stocking fan service.

“Pulp Addiction”

With a reference to “Saving Private Ryan” the second half of episode 3 of Panty and Stocking is going to be one of the most controversial and most remembered episodes of them all. I can fully understand why this episode just barely escaped censorship in Japan, and why America might never see this anime broadcasted in American television. The old saying of “Every time you masturbate, a baby dies” comes to mind while watching the second half of this episode. I already knew that the sperm life wasn’t easy, heck, a human male releases millions of sperms in one shot and all of them but just one survives the quest to the egg, but I never realized the ongoing fight between: Sperm and Tissue Paper.

With the clash of penis tides, and the harsh weather climates, the sperms view of D-Day is very much shown to be a great turmoil. If the giant vagina hill of pubes doesn’t get you to go “Wtf” then I honestly have no idea what will. It actually did take me awhile to figure out this was actually the life of a sperm seen through a “Saving Private Ryan” parody, but when I did, boy did I laugh. I’m not sure how Gainax managed to get this thing aired but it did.

With tissue companies suddenly having trouble producing enough tissues, the world goes into mass chaos. Even our very own black priest, Garterbelt, goes insane without the ability to uhh…extinguish his demons. Why his afro grows massive in size and releases his load of …. demons, I don’t understand, but it did manage to make me laugh. The amount of sperm used in this episode was fairly disturbing and made me kind of sick. Panty and Stocking are then tasked by the heavens to go and help save the tissue companies and get them to start producing all over again. Kind of ironic for the heavens to ask them for such a task, no?

If you masturbate, you technically do kill babies, as proved by this episode of Panty and Stocking. The evil spirits that have stopped the Tissue company are pre-mature ejeculated sperm who’s mission was to stop the use of the evil General Scotty!(Tissue Brand) It is here we learn our little Stocking most likely swallows, as she shows much interest in keeping one of these little spirit sperms as pets (Her innocence is forever gone now! D:). Panty and Stocking annihilate the the sperm spirits and save the tissue company, leading to a happy, yet, disturbing ending. As for the sperm, it seems they’re objective to reach Vagina mountain is close but yet so very far; they’ve encountered a new stronger enemy besides the tissue: Condom. (Lmao).

Final Impressions:
Although I didn’t chuckle as much as the last episode, I very much loved the play on parodies and jokes with the sperm. The first half of the episode was very much tamed compared to the second half, which pulled no punches. I’m still very surprised this episode even managed to air in Japan, with the very detailed images of a vagina and all, which is almost impossible to miss. Although this show is still not for kids, it’s very much for people who don’t mind this kind of humor, and that suits me just perfectly fine. I’ve enjoyed the series so far and will continue to review it. One thing I enjoy about Panty and Stocking is that it never leaves me with nothing to discuss about in the reviews. 4.0 rating for being the first anime to pull of sperm jokes like this.

P.S: Due to an over amount of schedule time in my real life, I will not be covering Star Driver. I’m happy to say that fellow writer Typenights will be covering it though. Sorry to those who were awaiting episode 2, but I’m sure Typenights will do a fine job. :). I will continue to follow Panty and Stocking and Togainu No Chi.

Panty and Stocking return with even more outlandish sexual jokes and lingerie fighting battles in Episode 2 of Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt. Things get even more hilarious this episode then the last. I repeat - This show is not for kids.

“The Clamor of The Beehive”

The first half of the episode gives us a taste of what high school life would be if Panty and Stocking were in our school; It would be awesome. For a high school infiltration mission it’s quite obvious both the girls have no idea what the word means; more or so Panty then Stocking, but even Stocking seems to not fully understand the meaning.

All though the girls may not be the smartest in the world, they have some hell of a fashion sense! Panty and Stocking’s school clothing was pretty damn flashing; once again proves they both have now idea what “Infiltration” means. But with those kind of looks, it doesn’t really matter I guess. Once again, like last episode, we get a close up and a more anime-esque close up of Panty in her school uniform get-up, which I loved but was disappointed we didn’t see one of Stocking since I liked her ensemble better then Panty’s. But I’ll take some then none at all.

It seems that even in anime’s like Panty and Stocking the same school rules apply: The nerds, the cheerleaders, the jocks, and the evil bitch known as the “Queen Bee”. I had my fun seeing the entire high school system of social government being destroyed by Panty and Stocking, and becoming the new “it” girls of high school. The scene where Panty was teaching all the girls her signature pose made me laugh and made me wish the entire season revolved around a high school setting. It’s common sense that when you take over someone’s turf, you’re bound to piss someone off, which is exactly what happens when Queen Barbie is completely forgotten and Panty and Stocking become the “it” thing around school, spawning posters and dolls for young high school males to keep in their lockers. Creepy, I know.

The fight with Queen Barbie, who was incidentally the ghost they were supposed to kill (No big surprise there, right?) was actually very cool with the combination of Panty’s and Stocking’s duo attack. It also felt like there was another Gurren Lagann parody with the bee stinger attack that Queen Barbie launches.

With Queen Barbie dead, Panty celebrates with a full on …uhhh…6-way with the entire football team. It wouldn’t be an episode without her having sex in some way, right? I’d also like to point out at this point that I “Lmao” when Panty mistakes the condom for a piece of gum. Epic.

“Sex And The Daten City”

There are 2 obvious things in this second half of the episode.

1. Being how popular these girls are, it’s no surprise that nobody would have offered them a movie deal in their city.
2. Panty being in a porno is of absolutely no surprise to anyone. ANYONE.

If the first half of the episode didn’t get you laughing, the second half surely will. I’m not sure If I would ever watch any movie starring Panty and Stocking, or a movie with the title of “Sex And The Daten City” — which is obviously a reference to the Sex In The City movie — but the people in Panty’s and Stocking’s universe sure would. If I could compare Panty to anyone in the star industry, it would most likely be Paris Hilton. Why? They’re both pretty open with their slutty image. Panty more so than Paris, and they both have their porno movies.

Like I stated in the beginning of this post, I don’t think it came as a surprise to anyone that Panty’s first and debut film was a porno. I’m pretty sure that’s what we all expected when she popped in the video tape. With their movie careers in danger, they set out on a quest to find and destroy every one of Panty’s porn videos to prevent them from the evil upload-ation into the internet! How her porno got so far as to Paris, India and even space is left to the imagination. Also, Panty would obviously have sex in the “City of Love”.

It’s also in this episode that we learn Stocking is actually the younger sister of the two, which I find makes a bit of sense, but also shows just how stupid Panty is to be less responsible than Stocking. I also found it funny that all of her movie fans were goth kids. Don’t worry Stocking, I like you better then Panty!

After all the help Stocking gave Panty in the retrieving of the videos, I found her bitch move of removing Stocking from the film really messed up. Fortunately, Stocking had a revenge plan of her own and uploaded the porn video on the most notorious of all sites - Youtobe. The episode ends in a “relaxing” moment. :)

Final Impressions:
I enjoyed this episode so much more than the first. The jokes were funnier, the slut references were more well thought out, and I loved the song playing during the school montage. Animation was spot on, and I can honestly say I have high hopes for this series. Gainax has not failed me yet! I wasn’t a fan of the art style like many others but I can honestly say that it is really warming up to me. Also, I really like the ending song, it’s very relaxing. If the series keeps this level of entertainment up, I might actually go to call it the best anime of this season. 4.0 rating for a very awesome episode! Tissues anyone? :)

Based on it’s Japanese yaoi anime game; Togainu No Chi’s anime debut wasn’t on the top of my list this season for many reasons, but after the somewhat interesting 1st episode, I might reconsider. Let’s get this review started then, shall we?

For those Star Wars fans eagerly anticipating to play the sequel to 2008’s Jedi killer Star Wars game, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2, will have the chance on October 12.

LucasArts will release a demo onto PSN and Xbox Live for you to get your clone killing skills on. The demo will have Starkiller on the rainy planet of Kamino as he escapes Darth Vader’s grasp, along with killing things with lightsabers I assume. October 12, don’t forget.

My apologies to anyone who was waiting for this review, I know its a little bit late but I assure you there was good reason for the delay. The reason you ask? I had to watch the first episode of Star Driver twice AND take notes because of the incredibly fast change of pace and missing plot concepts.

“Oh My”. Those were the first words that came out of my mouth after watching just a few minutes of the first episode of Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt. At first glance PoSwG looks like your typical friendly Saturday morning american cartoon, but it’s far from that. More than you will ever know.

It seems the Japanese Figure maker Chara-ani has been busy. Seems she comes in 2 forms, The strippable sexy tank top and the fan service apron underwear theme. More pictures after the break. :)

This doesn’t much relate much to people outside of Japan but I felt it was worthy and interesting enough news to post. The unfamiliar game series to anyone outside of japan, Idol Master is a PSP game made and developed by Namco Bandai in which it looks like you play the role of many, errhmm, “Kawaii” anime female pop stars. Although none of this is really amazing news. Whats interesting is that some of the first game’s female cast was removed to apparently make room for a trio of, well..sexy men.
