Mass Effect 3 was first released about four months ago to good reviews (including ours)… and excessive fan criticism. Some fans became extremely upset over the conclusion of Commander Shepard’s adventure because fans alleged that the ending didn’t reflect enough of the decisions that they had made over during the entire trilogy, which led to fan petitions, fundraisers, cupcakes and more.
When Casey Hudson, Executive Producer of Mass Effect, announced earlier this year that there would be a new ending coming for fans to play, which would hopefully please some of the critics, it wasn’t clear how long the wait would be.
Fans, get ready. The Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut is bringing your closure next week on June 26th.

“Mass Effect: Paragon Lost” Mobilizing This Fall
At SXSW, Funimation brought along some details about the new Mass Effect anime, Paragon Lost, that’s due to be released this fall.
It follows the story of the human character, James Vega, who will be familiar to gamers that have played Mass Effect 3, and will bring everybody up-to-date on James’ exploits prior to the latest game.
The anime will apparently be a more traditional 2D style, unlike their other BioWare production, Dragon Age: Dawn of the Seeker — due for release on May 29th — which is done in a 3D style that can be seen towards the end of the video.

To My Dearest Mass Effect 3,
The long 24 hours since I last called the northern California GameStop have seemed like an eternity. How I long to embrace you in my CD tray. How I long to caress your smooth paper inserts that have all the N7 Edition DLC codes on them.
Yet it is not to be. For I must wait another 24 to 48 hours before you are in my arms once more, here, at the southern California GameStop. The pain is excruciating.

Mass Effect 3 (PS3, 360, PC): The final installment in the Shepard-fueled games of the Mass Effect series. The Reapers have found Earth and it’s up to one man (or woman) to stop the invading forces trying to destroy the human race. Also featuring the debut of the series’ co-op multiplayer, which directly effects campaign mode.

Oshiete! Mordin-sensei! (Teach me! Professor Mordin!)
ASCII Media Works is getting ready for the Japanese launch of Mass Effect 3 by serializing Oshiete! Mordin-sensei! (Teach me! Professor Mordin!) on their Dengeki Online website.
The manga, drawn by Michiru Michi, places the game characters in a high school setting as the series’ story is explained. Mass Effect 3 will ship in Japan on March 15, while the U.S. (March 6) and Europe (March 9) get it a little earlier.
In addition, there’s also also talk of a future Mass Effect anime feature film done by Funimation and T.O. Entertainment. It’s currently being aimed for a summer 2012 release.

“Mass Effect 3” Live-Action Fight Trailer
Think the CG trailers for Mass Effect 3 haven’t been realistic enough for you? Now BioWare has released another new live-action trailer for the game, which was aired after The Walking Dead on Feb 26.
The trailer depicts the desperation and reactions of the humans on Earth and the ensured chaos after the Reapers invade our home planet.

“Mass Effect 3’s” ‘Take Earth Back’ Trailer Has Won Me Over
The final push leading up to BioWare’s biggest release of the year, Mass Effect 3, has made sure all the big guns have been brought out. The newest CG trailer is a stunning example of the emotional storytelling that few game developers in the world are capable of.
Mass Effect 3 will be on store shelves on March 6 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

“Mass Effect 3” - Reinstated AKA FemShep Trailer
Remember when there was a time when Bioware asked fans to choose their official FemShep? No? I don’t blame you, since that FemShep hardly made any appearance until now.
Bioware has finally released a promo trailer for Mass Effect 3 featuring FemShep in action kicking the Repears’ asses.
While the “official” FemShep does not look one bit like my FemShep (or any one of yours for that matter), hearing Jennifer Hale’s voice again just makes this FemShep more endearing to me.
