
It is official: As announced on the February issue of Newtype magazine, Monogatari Series Second Season (the official title) will air in Japan starting July.
The series will run for two cours (seasons) and will have the same director and cast as Bakemonogatari and Nisemonogatari. It will be using material from six volumes of the visual novel.

Good news for all Isin Nisio’s fans. Anime adaptations for his entire Monogatari series, which consists of twelve published novels and three more upcoming ones, have been green-lit for production. Bakemonogatari and Nisemonogatari have already been adapted into successful TV animes, while Kizumonogatari is being adapted into an animation film.
It is not known what animation format the rest of six published stories will be adapted into, or whether the last three stories, yet to be publised, of the series are included in this animation adaptation plan yet.

Fans of Nisio Isin’s Monogatari will be looking at an end to their beloved light novel series in the coming 2012. A page leaked onto the internet has announced that the final season of the Monogatari series will be published in 2012.
