Top 5: Anime Rivals Turned Allies

What is our anime hero or heroine without their ultimate rival? The bad guys can be boring and straightforward, but rivals are downright interesting. They aren’t evil, but they sure hate the main character’s guts! Needless to say, many of us find ourselves liking the hero’s rival better than the hero because they are hilarious and usually quite badass.

The best kind of rival is the kind that slowly warms to our main character and joins his or her side. Whether that rival is won over by the hero’s bright personality or he or she grudgingly accepts the opposing strength in battle, many rivals cannot help but join the winning team eventually. Thank goodness for that, because the central character usually needs a bit of sense knocked into them by a friendly critic.

GO Spotlight: Is It Life Or Death For The PS Vita?

When Sony announced the PlayStation Vita a little under two years ago at E3 2011, gamers were electric with excitement over the first handheld that seemed to be able to truly match the experience of home console gaming. 

Fast forward to just past the first anniversary of the PS Vita where things are looking very grim. Sony seems to have all but given up on saving their powerful game machine, instead opting to focus their efforts on the upcoming PS4, while surrendering the portable market to Nintendo’s 3DS.

Now, I know what you’re thinking, but I’m not here to recite every failure of the Vita. I’d rather talk gamers out of the worst possible use of their precious dollars in gaming currently.
