Weekend Remix: Come In Agent P

Song: Perry The Platypus (Letter L Remix)
By: Matt And Tyler Latourelle
Based On: Perry The Platypus theme from Phineas And Ferb
Original Composers: Dan Povenmire And Jeff “Swampy” Marsh

I know what we’re going to do today.

We’re not going to build an awesome contraption only for our siblings to try to bust us like in Phineas And Ferb. And while this week’s remix has to do with everyone’s favorite secret agent platypus, we’re not going to thwart the plans of Doofenshmirtz.

Today, we’re going to listen to and enjoy this remix from the Latourelles.

The duo decided to take Perry or Agent P’s familiar “Doobie-Doo” secret agent theme and surround it with some dance-floor techno. Things really get experimental in the middle when the song decides to flirt with some fat city shaking synths.

Thankfully, the song is still anchored with some manipulated sound bites from Major Monogram and the evil Heinz Doofenshmirtz.

The music in Phineas And Ferb is one of the show’s greatest highlights, with song’s not only covering a variety of genres, but also maintaining a level of catchiness that brings to mind some of Disney’s classic animated films. It’s not out of line to say that this remix would fit perfectly in an actual episode.

Until next weekend… GO Party!

“Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel” First Look

As announced earlier, Marvel and Disney will be meeting in Danville for Phineas And Ferb: Mission Marvel. Above is a video that briefly explains just how this union manages to exist, and creatively, what sparked it.

Coming sometime in 2013, this will mark the first time the two companies have come together in a story since Marvel was purchased by Disney in 2009.

Wait is that the Red Skull? Yes. Yes it is.

“Phineas And Ferb” Will Crossover With Marvel Universe
Phineas And Ferb, the hit Disney show about two super-smart brothers who decide to spend their summer days building all sorts of contraptions and driving their older sister crazy in the process, will be crossing over into the Marvel Universe sometime in 2013.
The news came via the Licensing Expo in Las Vegas where Jim Hill, a Disney insider, announced a special crossover event for the series. Couple this news with the fact that the series is set have a live-action theatrical film—written by Toy Story 3’s Michael Arndt—next year as well, it’s safe to say that 2013 is going to be a big year for the two brothers.
