Sony is headed in the right direction with the Vita now that they’ve announced Cross-Buy at Gamescom today in Germany. At their press conference, Sony unveiled that beginning with PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale, purchasers of the PS3 version of the game will be able to get the PS Vita version of the game at no extra charge.
This offer will not only apply to PlayStation All Stars, as Sony also announced the upcoming Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time and Ratchet and Clank: Full Frontal Assault will offer the same deal when they launch.

A gigantic leaks seems to happen all too frequently over at Sony, except that this time they have to place some of the blame on themselves. The hotly anticipated PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale has a beta going on currently on the PS3, which has led some rabid fans to take apart the game to search for unannounced content. I’d say those fans were very successful as every remaining stage, character, game mode and more seems to have been revealed by their digging.

Sony announced today that PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale will be coming to the PS Vita and it would support cross-play to connect with the PS3.
Shown on-stage live, the game was able to support players on both consoles playing at the same time. Playstation All-Stars can support a combination of up to four players, with 2 PS3 players and 2 Vita players battling simultaneously.
It was also officially announced that Nathan Drake and the Big Daddy would be in the final versions of both games.

Sony’s PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale may look like a shameless Super Smash Bros. ripoff (and it very well could be), but that doesn’t mean the game isn’t compiling a stellar lineup of characters to duke it out with, the latest of which are probably Uncharted’s Nathan Drake and a Big Daddy from Bioshock.
It hasn’t been officially announced, but these screen grabs from Sony’s Facebook page may have confirmed the two a day before the Sony E3 press conference. Looks like Sony fans have even more reason to get excited about this brawl.
