According to a blog post by Junichi Masuda, one of the original creators of Pokémon and the director of the most recent titles, Pokémon Black and White, there will be a big announcement that fans of the franchise will want to pay attention to on the Japanese TV program Pokémon Smash this Sunday morning.

IGN brings us the news that a new website for a “Pokemon Gray” has been registered.

Usually, that would be brushed off as a rumour or a fake website. However, this time, it was Melbourne IT Digital Brand Services who registered the site — the same company who also set up pokemonblackwhite.com, which is of course the official site for Pokemon Black and White for Nintendo America.

Pokemon Gray as the next title following Black and White will definitely make sense, so I think I’ll put my money on Pokemon Gray coming to the DS/3DS in the coming future.
