The live action version Capcom’s game franchise Sengoku Basara titled Sengoku Basara -Moonlight Party- is slated to premiere July 12 in Japan. The official website opened, showing the cast in costume.

Being a big Basara fan I had to post this, but at the same time I’m also kinda disappointed in it.  Mainly because my favorite character is a Pullip.  So it’s a girl doll cosplaying Masamune Date.  I dunno why Groove couldn’t just made them all Taeyang or Isul (the boy lines), but I guess they wanted to utilize each line.  Still, their stock is pretty cool and detailed.  Even though I’m disappointed, I still kinda want to get them.  They’re due to release sometime mid June.  Find them at Hobby Search.

For my birthday week I’m posting my all time favorite game/anime, Sengoku Basara!!! Actually, I wanted to make this an all Date Masamune post, but I guess I’ll spare you the Date spam and post other awesome Basara characters as well.

You should have seen my reaction when I came across this Sengoku Basara Date Masamune Nendoroid… then you should have seen my girlfriend’s reaction. We were yelling at each other to get it for each other. I am most likely going to pick one of these up. If you want to get one too, you can pre-order at AmiAmi or Hobby Search and sit around in front of your door till January.

With the final episode of the second series of Sengoku Basara airing, an announcement was made that a film will be released sometime in 2011.

My GF and I were able to come out of Anime Expo each with a Revoltech in hand. She got me Vash and for herself, she got a Revolotech of her favorite character Date Masamune from Sengoku BASARA. She went head over heels when she saw him for sale at AX, that and being able to meet face to face and take a picture with one of her favorite clothing designers H. Naoto.
