Noticed because of a leak on Battle.net today, the expansion to the hit Starcraft 2 will be on store shelves on March 12, 2013. This comes after the expansion was delayed from late 2012 into the first half of 2013.
Apparently, Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm will be available for individual purchase for owners of the original full title, Wings of Liberty, or available in a digital deluxe edition that includes both titles for $59.99. The original page does seem to be taken down at the time of writing.

Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm Debut Trailer
So following that Teaser Trailer, here we have the actual debut trailer. I just wanted to get you guys pumped for this by putting all that information in the teaser trailer, but here you have a more clearer picture of the game and how it’ll look playing as the Zerg. Despite being reverted back to a human, it looks like Kerrigan still retains her psionic control over the Zerg. Well, enjoy.
Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm Teaser
Blizzard Entertainment returns with the second game in the line of Starcraft 2 games with Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm. Picking up right after the end of Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty, players will find themselves in a storyline that will center around Kerrigan and the Zerg (despite her being transformed back into a human at the end of Wings of Liberty) in 20 missions that will probably follow the same design and formula introduced in Wings of Liberty.
Now, the one thing, I, along with many other people will be wondering about, is if the Xel’Naga and their hybrids (not to mention Samir Duran from Broodwar) are finally brought into the game as a race of their own or will that be left to the 3rd installment of the Starcraft 2 games that will focus on the Protoss.
One last detail for you all, it is expected that Heart of the Swarm and the following Protoss-centered campaign game following Heart of the Swarm will be priced as an expansion and not a game on its own. So for all you gamers who were calling out Blizzard for breaking up Starcraft 2 into 3 games… you can rest easy and have fun.
