‘Kigurumi’ is a Japanese word for a costumed performer, like the ones you’ll find at amusement parks. But it has also taken off as a sort of street fashion craze which consist of a hooded jumpsuit in a popular animal or character. You will notice a lot of these at anime conventions.
Diemortalroom creates custom kigurumi that are more elaborate then those you’ll find sold at most conventions.

Hey, everyone: Happy Easter!
It’s about that time of the year to grab some hard boiled eggs and slap on a single-color coating and hide it behind a bush. But I’m sure everyone here is too old for that now, so better yet, let’s turn them into works of art!
It will definitely look amazing—cracking it and eating it might be the hard part, though.

At first glance, I thought Masamisato’s gallery was ink on paper, but as I browse deeper, I couldn’t believe that all of Masamisato’s work are all paper cut-outs. I have no idea how she’s able to cut out such intricate, tiny designs, or even where she finds the patience to do it all, but it’s truly amazing. There are details so thin, that I feel like looking at it would make it crumble.

I knew I just had to post this when I first discovered Dreams-Made-Flesh. I love origami and I was especially impressed by how realistic his creations look. Though he does follow books and instructions, it still takes a lot of skill to fold something as detailed as these.

A friend discovered this and linked it my way, and after seeing just one of paperfetish’s paper sculptors, I couldn’t help going through his whole gallery. I’m impressed by how detailed and clean each cutout sculptor looks. Especially since he was able to cut out a perfect Tinkerbell the size of a dime!

Hand painted custom shoes!!! It’s so much cooler to get some plain inexpensive shoes and design them into your favorite characters! Now I’m thinking I should go through some shoes I don’t wear anymore and decorate them. Though once I get them nice and decorated, I might not want to wear them often and get them dirty. What a twist! lol

Being a big Basara fan I had to post this, but at the same time I’m also kinda disappointed in it. Mainly because my favorite character is a Pullip. So it’s a girl doll cosplaying Masamune Date. I dunno why Groove couldn’t just made them all Taeyang or Isul (the boy lines), but I guess they wanted to utilize each line. Still, their stock is pretty cool and detailed. Even though I’m disappointed, I still kinda want to get them. They’re due to release sometime mid June. Find them at Hobby Search.

Are you down on your luck and need the ultimate good luck charm? Sure everyone carries around charms of the lucky cat, but you can outshine all of them and carry around real gold poo!!!
Yes, that’s right, a real 18k gold poo cellphone strap. Golden poo (unchi) is a symbol of good luck and fortune. So carrying this around must mean you’ll have the ultimate good luck! If I’m going to pay around $150 for a golden poo charm, I better get incredibly luck! You can pre-order yours at [Strapya World].

“Pray for Japan” that kicked off on Twitter hit pretty big, and seems to be the inspirational catch phrase we’ve been seeing around. I just wanted to showcase some art work to help Japan know that we’re keeping them in our thoughts.

Please do not turn this into a religious thing. This is just a catch phrase that took off. Thank you!

I’ve been on a My Little Pony kick lately. Mainly because the new series is pretty damn awesome. Only problem is, the toys at the stores looks so horrible! But thank goodness there are super talented artist out there who can turn My Little Pony into something more pleasing to the eyes! A lot of these are super crazy! It’s amazing what these artist can think of!

Meet Noel Cruz, a super talent artist that takes figures of our favorite celebrities and characters and brings them to life. It’s amazing how much of a dramatic difference there is between the before and after pictures. I know that for me, one of the reasons that stops me from buying these figures at stores is because of how unattractive their faces look. So it’s nice to see someone take so much time and care into making these figure look like how they should look. To see more of Noel Cruz’s work visit his website http://www.ncruz.com/

As you can tell from the majority of my post, I’m very much into crafty things. So I thought it would be fun to ask the other members of Pop Go to grab an ornament and paint their favorite characters. Just something quick, fun and easy to do! Maybe this will be something fun for you to do too! Just adding a little extra touch to the holidays XD.
I Painted my favorite character, Masamune Date (Basara), somakun painted Ramona (Scott Pilgrim), and spawnyreborn made Timcampi (D.Gray-Man) and the Metroid. Also mangarecommendations wanted to contribute a piece to this post as well with his Pokemon Hanukkah. Happy Holidays Everyone!!!!!!!

Oh my gosh! It’s too much awesome! Oh the things you can do with simply paper! Sooo all I would have to do is print, cut, fold and glue, and I’ll have myself a 3D paper figure? That’s pretty awesome! Though I don’t think I could be creative enough to make a pattern all on my own. I’ll just leave that to the pros -_^. The cute little Azusa pepakura (or also simply called papercraft) was the first one we ever attempted. They’re pretty fun to make! You can find a lot of instructions online.

Not so much cute, but this is pretty damn awesome! This is some amazing Final Fantasy cross stitching done by Shingorengeki on Deviant Art. This must have taken forever to do! But I give her mad kudos for being able to produce so much depth and shading with just some simple monochrome thread. You can see more of her awesome work at: http://shingorengeki.deviantart.com/
