Thanks to a curious Tweet from @Deadly_Nerd to Adult Swim, Team Venture fans finally have a date for when the fifth season of the Venture Bros. is going to air.
Adult Swim answered Deadly’s question with a bump, stating that the show will premiere May 19th, opening with an hour-long special.

Jonny Quest Stop Motion Intro
For many, the closest that they’ve come to the adventures of Jonny Quest is the influence and parody material given to the genius Venture Bros. But whether skimming through Boomerang reruns or catching old episodes on DVD, it’s kind of hard to deny how cool the opening was thanks to its unique animation and cool jazz intro.
Director and fan, Roger D. Evans, still holds the series in high regards and decided to pay homage with a special stop-motion edition of the intro.

Base figure: Agent 8
This was a pretty quick custom. I just added little details with Apoxie. The hair was scratch built with apoxie. I know the face isn’t true to the original character design but I didn’t want to mess with the original figure’s face that much. I was saving the base figure for a good custom so when I saw Dr. Girlfriends new outfit, I had to make a custom and thought my Agent 8 would be a great base. The wings are made with fabric and I had to add a swivel joint 2 the bent arm. Everything was all hand painted even the base.

This is the second custom figure I’ve made since my start of customizing. This is Brock from Venture Brothers on Cartoon Network. He’s probably my favorite character in the series and when I saw him in the Monarch Henchman costume at the end of season 2, I just had to make a figure.
I used a Superman figure as the base and just took off the cape, molded Brock’s signature mullet with apoxy as well as the mask. Used Tamyia and Citadel paints, used a dremel to add some detail suck as Brock’s tank-top. The antennae and cigarette were made from Green Stuff. His knife was scratch built with apoxy and shaped with a dremel. I was disappointed when I forgot to paint his tattoo on his arm. Bad Soma, bad!

Here’s a figure I made of Brock Samson from Venture Bros. This was modeled after Brock in season 1 episode 4 when he was in the dream machine. The figure stands 11 inches tall. I used a Justice League John Stewart Green Lantern as the base.
